Open Letter to the Jehovah Witnesses’
This is a verses I have from one of your members concerning where I can find Jehovah in the New Testament: Acts 3:19: New World Translation of Jehovah Witnesses “Repent therefore and turn around so as to get your sins blotted out that seasons of refreshing may come from the person of Jehovah.”
OK, if we look at the Greek what we see is *Kupiov* LORD, The fundamental flaw of the NWT is this insertion of the word Jehovah 237 times into the New Testament. The Watchtower justifies this insertion by claiming all known New Testament manuscripts are inaccurate.
That is not possible. READ GREEK … ANY GREEK.
Acts 1:8 “8But you shall receive power, after the Holy Spirit has come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” We are to be JESUS WITNESSES!!! JESUS NAME MEANS Jehovah Saves …. And who is the ONLY Savior in the OT??? God. WHERE IS Jehovah in the NT???
So, please tell me why I need to be a Jehovah witness and not a Jesus witness? Jesus says we are to be Jesus witnesses! Jesus is where you find the Greek-Hebrew name Jehovah. The only place in the NT.

Mormon Doctrine Refuted redirectionalism.com/index.html
TOTAL DEPRAVITY FROM ADAM Mormon doctrine teaches that Adam’s sin was not a sin that damned mankind in eternal separation from God, but rather simply his sin was simply having sex with his wife, Nephi 2:23. And this being the case, it eventual turned out to be something good, Nephi 2:24,25.
On the contrary however in Geneses 1:28 we see that God told Adam and Eve to “be fruitful and multiply” which happened on the sixth day of creation before the fall of Adam. In Genesis 3:10 what Adam did was sin, which as a result ended in his being cursed with spiritual death and eternal separation from God, Genesis 2:17. Furthermore in Romans 5:12, it says: “Wherefore as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin: so that death passed upon all men for that all have sinned.”Roman 5:19 says “For as by one mans disobedience many were made sinners so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.” The Bible teaches that it was not until Christ died on the cross for our sins that God atoned for what was done in Adam. See also the other following scriptures regarding man’s total depravity. Psalm 51:5 Behold I was shapen in iniquity and in sin did my mother conceive me. 1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. Eph. 2:2“In time past ye walked according to the course of this world according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience…”
Romans 3:12 There is none that seeketh after God.
NO SECOND CHANCES IN THE AFTER LIFE. Mormon doctrine teaches that man has a second chance in the afterlife, however this is not found in the Bible. The arguments raised by Mormons are found in 2 Peter 2:4-5 Jude 6; 1 Peter 3:18,19; 4:6. However these verses are taken out of context. Christ proclaimed, not preached to the spirits now in prison. See the following scriptures.
2 Cor. 6:2 …now is the day of salvation
Hebrews 9:27 It is appointed unto men once
Luke 16:19-31 There is a great gulf fixed
There is no road that connects heaven to hell as seen by the following verses.
Matthew 25:46 “everlasting punishment”
Revelation 14:9-11 “forever and ever / torment … “
Revelation 20:10 “day and night / tormented “
The same words that are used to describe hell are also used below:
Everlasting God Rom 16:26 & Everlasting Life & Glory forever
and ever 1 Tim 1:16 & Eternal Spirit Heb. 9:14
Forever / Jesus Christ is the same Hebrews 13:8 & Forever
and ever / Him that sat on the throne who liveth Rev 4:9 &
Forever and ever Rev 4:10 & Forever and ever / Him that liveth
Rev 10:6. &
Day and night saying Holy Holy Holy / they rest not Revelation
4:8, Day and night / serve Him Revelation 7:15
BY THE LAW COMES PERFECTION SAY DOCTRINE AND COVENANTS.
* Doctrine and covenants 132:21 Except ye abide in my law ye
cannot attain the glory
* Joseph Fielding Smith said unless you keep the whole law you
can not enter the celestial kingdom. Kimbal: True repentance
does not permit making the same mistake again. Pg. 340
* Doctrine and covenants 93:20 If you keep my commandments you
shall receive His fullness
* Doctrine and covenants 93:27 No man receiveth His fullness
unless he keepeth his commandments.
* Doctrine and covenants 95:11 If you keep my commandments ye
shall have power to build it / Verily I say unto you, it is my
will that you should build a house.
However we argue that Christ did not die to give everyone universal salvation, see the explanations for the following verses.
1 James 2:17,26, This does not teach that a man is justified by works, rather it teaches that genuine faith will result in good works.
1 John 2:3 Hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. The Bible does not contradict itself, what is being taught here is that we are justified if we have a heart to keep the law, no one can keep the law. This is a very obvious fact of Scripture.
Phil 2:12 “Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” Salvation is not just a thing that occurs once in our life. Rather there are past present and future aspects to salvation. Salvation is also a process, but the process is a mystery that is worked out foremost by God and then by us as the rest of the verse shows.
1 John 2:3,5 Whoso keepeth His word in Him verily is the love of God perfected. Keep here does not mean that believers can keep the law to attain perfection. Rather what is being taught here is that if we have a heart to keep the law the love of God has been perfected in us.
The Bible plainly teaches that by the law comes the knowledge of sin.
Luke 18:11-12 The Publican and the Pharisees.
1 Cor. 4:7 For who maketh thee to differ…
Galatians 2:16 by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Galatians 2:21 If righteousness comes by the law then Christ died in vain.
Galatians 3:10 as many as are under the works of the law are under a curse.
Ephesians 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to His grace.
Ephesians 2:8,9 By the deed of the flesh shall no flesh be justified in His sight. Salvation is a free gift completely apart from any works. Gifts can not be earned.
Ephesians 2:15 Having abolished in His flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments.
Romans 3:20 by the deeds of the law shall no flesh be justified in His sight.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life.
Romans 4:4-5 To him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace but of dept.
Romans 7:9 But when the commandment came sin revived and I died.
Romans 9:16 So then it is not of Him that willeth nor of him that runneth but on God that showeth mercy.
Romans 11:6 grace or works .. pick one.
2 Timothy 1:9 Not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given us in Christ…
Titus 3:5 He saved us not because of righteous things we have done but because of His mercy
James 2:10 Whoever shall keep the whole law and yet offend in one point he is guilty of all.
Rather the Bible teaches that through faith in Christ comes the atonement. This is seen in the Bible that we are justified by faith close to 200 times in the NT alone.
Hebrews 10:14 By one offering He hath perfected forever them that are sanctified.
John 6:47 He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
John 3:16 & 15 Whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 6:28-29 This is the work of God that ye may believe on Him whom He hath sent.
Romans 3:28; Man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law
Romans 5:1; being justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Galatians 3:21-24; Jn. 5:24; 6:27-29; 11:25; 12:46.
THERE IS ONE BIBLE
Isaiah 8:20, Rev 22:18:19
4. Mormon Girl
Jennie writes, on some newgroup somewhere: “Gospel of love The gospel of Jesus Christ is based on love, respect and agency. Mormons believe that all humans have inherited strengths, weaknesses, challenges and blessings and are invited to live, through the help and grace of God, the principles revealed by Jesus Christ. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints maintains that “God’s universal fatherhood and love charges each of us with an innate and reverent acknowledgment of our shared human dignity. We are to love one another. We are to treat each other with respect as brothers and sisters and fellow children of God, no matter how much we may differ from one another.”9”
That’s not the good news at all, in fact it is bad news and it is not the Gospel. This “The gospel of Jesus Christ is based on love” has to do with mens WORKS and NOT SALVATION at all. That’s NOT good news but WORK and something someone made up in their head, it does not come from the Bible. This WORKS Doctrine is typical of *Mormons*[1.], Jehovah Witnesses, Pseudo Christianity, and every other false religion, in fact every other religion on the face of the earth.
I’ll prove it. Mark 12 “Which is the first commandment of all? 29And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength: this is the first commandment. 31And the second is like, namely this, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is none other commandment greater than these.”
OK, so what are we talking about here? The LAW. But the law is not the Gospel, Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. … for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.”
“For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continues not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them” (Gal. 3:10).
The reason that all who are of the works of the law are under the curse is that “by the law is the knowledge of sin” (Rom. 3:20).
OK, so the Gospel is not love, that’s work, work work and more work till you fail and wind up in Hell. We are saved by faith in Christ AND FAITH IN HIS WORK. That is the reason why faith in Christ saves and faith in YOUR WORKS DO NOT SAVE.
The Gospel posted above is only something that will keep you working all the way till you fall off the end of this world into the pits of Hell.
Don’t believe that lie.
The true Gospel is, and now I will define it in my own words: trust in Jesus, and nothing more. If you cannot trust him, then you should. It is that simple. No need to write anything more.
Romans 4:5 “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.”
ACTS 13:39 “And by Him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses” [very easy] [Trust in Jesus]
It is only AFTER you put your faith in Christ that your works [Love of God and man, 1st and 2nd commandment] count for something, but these good works you do can NEVER ever save you from Hell.
And concerning one more mistake you make. Jesus was not white, He was a black man, as depicted in early Christian art.
[1.] Book of Mormon, Moroni 10:32-33 Yea, acome unto Christ, and be bperfected in him, and cdeny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and dlove God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be eperfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God. And again, if ye by the grace of God are perfect in Christ, and deny not his power, then are ye asanctified in Christ by the grace of God, through the shedding of the bblood of Christ, which is in the covenant of the Father unto the remission of your csins, that ye become dholy, without spot.
[1.] Book of Mormon, Alma 11:37 37 And I say unto you again that he cannot save them in their asins; for I cannot deny his word, and he hath said that bno unclean thing can inherit the ckingdom of heaven; therefore, how can ye be saved, except ye inherit the kingdom of heaven? Therefore, ye cannot be saved in your sins.
[1.] Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi 25:23 For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do.
